Press Release Body =
WALNUT, CALIF., Aug. 11, 2006 - Adesso Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor
of innovative and stylish keyboards, tablets, mice, touchpad's, and other input
peripherals, today introduced its new line-up of sleek, high performance, and
affordable NuScan CCD and laser barcode scanners. The new line is available today
through Ingram Micro, Tech-Data & Synnex, direct vendors including AMAZON, Buy.com,
PC Mall, CDW, mWave, TigerDirect and Insight; and retail stores such as Fry's and
Micro Center; and through leading catalogs including CDW, PC Mall and PC Connection.

New technologies with worldwide patents allow the NuScan series to set itself apart
from other scanners. These technologies include no internal vibrating mirror moving
parts for better shock absorption and durability, a new laser technology that makes
the NuScan less harmful to the eyes, and energy-saving lower power consumption.

The NuScan series are manufactured for durability. They feature an exclusive
ergonomic design for comfort, light weight and ease of use. For fast connections,
NuScan barcode scanners simply plug between the PC to the PS/2 or USB port. Reading
as many as 100 scans per second, NuScan barcode scanners seamlessly reads barcodes
and sends the data to all popular active applications as if it were instantly typed
directly into each designated field.

"Adesso NuScan barcode scanners combine high performance, accuracy, and value to
offer best-in-class solutions for retail, point of sale, Office, Light Industrial,
Warehouse, Libraries, Medical, Legal office, Government, marketing and any
repetitive application where time and precision are critical factors in helping
businesses streamline their workflow," said Maurice A. Gomez, Product Manager of
Adesso.
